The 2nd 'Makan Tahun Pantai Siandang' Festival received an overwhelming response from the local community, visitors as well as guests locally and overseas. Themed 'Sekudi Kelupis Menjalin Budaya', the event aimed to preserve and introduce the cultural heritage of the Bruneian community, especially the Kedayan to the younger generation.

Present was Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Metassan, Permanent Secretary for Municipality and District at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Various activities were held, including demonstrations of 'mengelupis' and traditional cooking, heritage food exhibitions, pencak silat performances, fun games as well as an exhibition of traditional Kedayan community equipment. Also held was sales by village residents and local entrepreneurs. The event not only served as a platform to strengthen ties but also promoted Siandang Beach as a community and cultural tourism destination.
